Tim Fishlock’s What Watt? chandelier is a memorial to the incandescent lightbulb. It’s a spherical chandelier made up of 1243 suspended bulbs of various shape and size… By 2011, all forms of incandescent light bulb will have been phased out in favour of greener alternatives. Designed and fabricated for a private commission he will be producing an edition of ten. Fishlock is a designer and artist based in London. You can see his website here

No more needless surfing through other peoples awesomeness for two whole weeks… Starting now.

First, i’m going to list the sites I rumble through most days for inspiration… basic delaying tactics mixed with overly influenced idea generation.

Here they are in no particular order (apologies in advance to anyone who loses a day sifting through these links):

www.siteinspire.com
www.qbn.com
www.itsnicethat.com
www.grafikcache.com
www.thedesignfiles.net
www.formfiftyfive.com
www.bitique.co.uk
www.graphic-exchange.com
www.australianedge.net
www.behance.net
www.thefinderskeepers.com
www.andyrutledge.com
www.manystuff.org
ffffound.com
www.typojungle.net
madebysix.wordpress.com
www.aisleone.net

Don’t get me wrong i’m not blaming them for any lack on productivity, in fact far from it–I love them and will miss them dearly, we may well produce no quality work for two weeks.

No, seriously it is time to close firefox, open my eyes, explore new ways of finding inspiration and breath in some fresh air. Call it my two week sabbatical, minus Bali, Sagmeister and a web browser.

Here goes…
